San Ysidro, CA (April 19, 2025) On Friday morning, a 67-year-old man was hurt after a horrific traffic accident on San Ysidro Boulevard.

According to authorities, the frightening incident happened around 10 a.m. in the 500 block of West San Ysidro Boulevard.

Reports say that a pickup truck struck the 67-year-old pedestrian, leaving him with serious injuries.

Authorities say that the 47-year-old driver of a 2017 Toyota Tacoma attempted a left turn out of a driveway and hit the man.

Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a hospital, where he was treated for brain bleeds, skull and facial fractures, and a broken wrist.

Authorities confirmed the injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

Police stated the driver failed to yield the right of way, though alcohol was not a factor. The Traffic Division is investigating the incident.
