Violent Traffic Collision on Avenue 160 Kills Motorcycle Rider [Porterville, CA]

Porterville, CA (October 02, 2025) – A motorcyclist riding a 2016 Kawasaki Ninja died Tuesday morning after a violent traffic collision on Avenue 160.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6:05 a.m. at Avenue 160 and Road 192.

Investigators said the Kawasaki was traveling westbound on Avenue 160 toward Elm Street at an unknown speed when a 64-year-old man driving a Toyota Tacoma southbound on Elm Street attempted a left turn. The motorcycle struck the pickup as it entered Avenue 160.

The motorcyclist died at the scene, while the Tacoma driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Sierra View District Hospital.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the rider. The investigation remains ongoing.
