Two Children Seriously Injured in Interstate 270 Crash in St. Louis County
St. Louis County, MO (May 13, 2025) – 2 young children sustained critical injuries early Monday morning after a traffic collision on I-270.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the disastrous crash happened on Eastbound Interstate 270 shortly before 5:35 a.m.
Reports say that a disabled vehicle in lane four was struck by a passing car driven by a 50-year-old man with two children onboard. To avoid the stopped vehicle, the driver swerved to the right, resulting in a collision with the rear of the disabled car, which was occupied by a 28-year-old woman.
Emergency responders transported both children, aged three and eight, to the hospital with serious injuries. Authorities have not released further details regarding their conditions.
Neither of the drivers involved in the crash sustained any injuries. The MSHP continues to investigate the incident.
