CHP Investigates 2-Vehicle Crash on State Route 108 in Tuolumne County

Tuolumne County, CA (December 5, 2024) – CHP responded to a  traffic collision on State Route 108 Wednesday evening near North Sunshine Road.

The incident, reported at approximately 8:47 p.m., involved a pickup truck and another vehicle. 

Initial reports described significant front-end damage to a Nissan or Toyota pickup, which was smoking and possibly located on a dirt road near the crash site.

Responders noted alcohol spilled across the roadway at the scene. Emergency services, including fire personnel, were notified and dispatched shortly after the initial call. 

Medical units were also en route to assist with injuries, though the extent of those injuries remains unclear.

A silver Toyota Camry was identified as requiring towing services, but the tow request was later canceled. 

CHP units arrived on the scene by 8:50 p.m. to manage the incident and assess the situation.

Further details regarding the cause of the collision and the condition of those involved have not yet been released. 

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
