One Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Route 118 Near Saticoy

Saticoy, CA (September 9, 2025) — A multi-vehicle collision on State Route 118 near Saticoy left one person dead early Sunday morning.

The California Highway Patrol reported the crash around 6 a.m. near Wells Road, just west of Vineyard Avenue. A gray Honda Accord and a silver Chevrolet were involved, with the Honda sustaining major damage.

Emergency crews performed CPR on one victim, but authorities later confirmed the person had died. It remains unclear whether the victim passed away at the scene or after being taken to the hospital. Officials have not yet released the victim’s identity pending family notification.

Lanes in both directions were partially closed during the investigation. The CHP Ventura office continues to look into the cause of the crash.
