Kia Driver Killed in Suspected DUI Crash on Ventura Freeway in Calabasas
Calabasas, CA (April 12, 2025) Early Friday morning, a fatal traffic crash on 101 Freeway claimed the life of a Kia driver.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the deadly incident happened on the right shoulder of the southbound Ventura (101) Freeway near Mureau Road.
Reports say that a suspected impaired driver crashed a Buick SUV into a parked Kia sedan in Calabasas. The impact severely damaged the Kia, which had two occupants inside.
Emergency responders transported both individuals to Los Robles Regional Medical Center, where the Kia driver was pronounced dead.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity, pending family notification.
CHP officers arrested the 19-year-old Buick driver on suspicion of murder and felony DUI.
