(December 28, 2025) — On Friday afternoon, a stalled vehicle triggered a small chain-reaction crash on Interstate 27 in Amarillo sending two people to the hospital.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened in the northbound lanes of I-27 just south of Laird Road. Several vehicles became involved after traffic encountered the disabled car.

Emergency crews transported two injured individuals to a nearby hospital. Authorities continue to review the circumstances surrounding the crash.
