Tragic 2-Car Crash on South Watt Avenue Kills Woman [Sacramento, CA]

Sacramento, CA (June 16, 2025) – A 2-car crash on South Watt Avenue led to the death of a woman on Sunday evening.

According to authorities say that the two-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of South Watt Avenue and Kiefer Boulevard at around 6 p.m.

California Highway Patrol responded to the crash.

Reports say that the collision happened after a Lexus and an Infiniti collided—possibly due to one driver running a red light.

Authorities have not yet determined which vehicle caused the crash.

Emergency responders transported the woman, who was driving the Infiniti, to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Meanwhile, a man and a juvenile also in her vehicle sustained moderate and minor injuries, respectively. The Lexus driver was not injured. Investigators have not yet confirmed whether impairment contributed to the incident.
