1 Person Dead in Adams County Auto Accident on East 120th Avenue and Powhaton Road

ADAMS COUNTY, CO (May 26, 2026) – Sunday afternoon, a tragic 2-vehicle crash on East 120th Avenue and Powhaton Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 2:50 p.m. on East 120th Avenue and Powhaton Road.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, a westbound Chevrolet Silverado veered into the eastbound lanes and collided with an eastbound Ford F-150XLT.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 48-year-old male driver of the Silverado dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the 28-year-old male passenger of the Silverado with life-threatening injuries, the 62-year-old male driver of the Ford with serious injuries, and two of his passengers to a hospital for treatment.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
