1 Person Dead in Houston Auto Accident on Fred Hartman Bridge

HOUSTON, TX (December 21, 2025) – Friday afternoon, a tragic 2-vehicle crash on Fred Hartman Bridge killed one person.

The incident happened at around 12:27 p.m. on the Fred Hartman Bridge.

According to the Harris County Precinct 8 Constable’s Office, a northbound pickup veered over the yellow fog line and struck a pickup truck towing a boat and a trailer that was disabled on the left shoulder.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the driver of the first pickup died in the crash. Then, paramedics transported two occupants of the disabled pickup to a hospital with minor injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
