ST CHARLES COUNTY, MO (April 12, 2026) – Saturday morning, a tragic 2-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 near Route A killed one person.

The incident happened at around 7:30 a.m. on Interstate 70 near Route A.

According to reports, a 2022 Hyundai Elantra failed to stay in a single lane and rear-ended a 2005 Toyota Tacoma. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Toyota to crash and roll over, ejecting its driver in the process.

Moreover, responders rushed the 70-year-old male driver of the Toyota to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, the crash closed all westbound lanes of Interstate 70 but has long since reopened.
