Tragic 3-Vehicle Crash on Highway 80 Kills 1 [Richmond, CA]

Richmond, CA (November 30, 2023) On Tuesday evening, a person died and another was hurt in a horrific 3-vehicle crash on Highway 80.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened around 9:50 p.m. on eastbound I-80, west of Carlson Boulevard.

Reports say tha 3 eastbound vehicles, a Nissan Frontier pickup, a Toyota RAV4, and a Lexus GS 350 were involved in the collision.

Officials say that the Ford driver, a 65-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, while, the Toyota driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Fortunately, both occupants of the Lexus escaped injuries.

Authorities are investigating the probable cause of the fatal crash and have not provided additional information at this time.
