One Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on FM 14 in Smith County
Smith County, TX (July 24, 2026) — A person died in a single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning in Smith County, prompting a temporary road closure.
The crash was reported around 6:33 a.m. on FM 14, south of County Road 326 W., according to Smith County Emergency Services District 2. Emergency crews responded to the scene and confirmed the collision involved only one vehicle.
Authorities temporarily closed the roadway while first responders assisted at the scene and cleared the wreckage. The road has since reopened, although traffic continued to move slowly in the area.
Officials have not released the identity of the victim or additional details as the investigation continues.
