Tragic Collision on Highway 93 Kills 2 People [Yavapai County, AZ]

Two Truck Drivers Killed in Fiery Crash on US 93 in Yavapai County

Yavapai County, AZ (July 8, 2026) — Two truck drivers lost their lives after a fiery collision on Highway 93 in southwestern Yavapai County early Monday morning.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash happened shortly after 7 a.m., about 30 miles north of Wickenburg near Congress. Both truck drivers died at the scene.

The collision involved a car hauler and another truck, causing extensive damage to both vehicles, which caught fire after impact.

The Arizona Department of Transportation temporarily closed the northbound lanes of U.S. 93 at State Route 71 and the southbound lanes at Interstate 40 while crews responded to the crash and cleared the scene. The highway fully reopened around 4:45 p.m.
