Tragic 4-Car Collision on Vermont Avenue Under Investigation [Los Angeles, CA]

Los Angeles, CA (June 24, 2025) — A suspected impaired driver fleeing an earlier crash is under investigation following a fatal four-vehicle collision on Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles’ Harvard Park neighborhood early Monday.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers first responded to a crash near Vermont Avenue and Gage Avenue at around 12:40 a.m. after a damaged vehicle reportedly left the scene. The fleeing driver continued west on Gage Avenue before rear-ending three other westbound vehicles near Normandie Avenue.

The violent impact scattered debris across the roadway and left at least one SUV with extensive front-end damage. One person died in the crash, while no other serious injuries were reported. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim or confirmed which vehicle they occupied.
