Driver and Pedestrian Killed in Dallas Crash on East Ledbetter Drive

Dallas, TX (August 27, 2025) — A tragic crash on East Ledbetter Drive Monday night claimed the lives of both a pedestrian and a driver.

According to police, that the driver of a Nissan Maxima was heading west when he lost control, veered onto the sidewalk, and struck a pedestrian. The car then collided with a light pole before coming to a stop.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene around 9 p.m. Firefighters freed the driver from the wreckage, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities have not determined what caused the driver to lose control, and officials have not yet released the names of the victims.
