Two Killed, Two Injured After SUV Crashes Into Tree in Dallas’ Pleasant Grove

Dallas, TX (May 7, 2025) — Two people lost their lives, and two others were hospitalized Monday night after a single-vehicle crash on Jim Miller Road in the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas.

Emergency crews responded around 9 p.m. to the 2400 block of North Jim Miller Road, near the Grover C. Keeton Golf Course, where an SUV had veered off the roadway and slammed into a tree. Due to the severity of the crash, responders called in a heavy rescue team to free four adults trapped inside the vehicle.

Firefighters used specialized equipment to extricate all occupants. A man and a woman were pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics transported the two surviving occupants to a nearby hospital, where one remains in critical condition and the other is being treated for serious injuries.

Investigators said the SUV was traveling southbound when the driver lost control for reasons that remain unclear. Authorities continue to examine the cause of the crash.

Officials have not released the victims’ identities as they work to notify their families. The relationship between the occupants also remains unknown.
