Tragic Crash on North Woodman Avenue Kills 12-Year-Old Boy [Los Angeles, CA]

Los Angeles, CA (June 19, 2025) – A 12-year-old boy lost his life Wednesday morning after tragic crash on North Woodman Avenue.

According to authorities, the fatal crash happened at about 10:17 a.m. in the 4400 block of North Woodman Avenue near Moorpark Avenue, just south of the Ventura (101) Freeway.

Reports say that a Lexus crashed into a parked box truck in Sherman Oaks. The Lexus struck a delivery box truck parked along the street. The boy, who was in the front passenger seat, died at the scene.

Authorities have not confirmed the vehicle’s speed at the time of the crash.

Emergency crews transported three individuals to a hospital. A woman and a 10-year-old boy, both uninjured, were taken as a precaution due to standard fatal crash protocols. Another person, unrelated to the crash, was transported for separate medical concerns.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division is investigating the crash. Officials, including the mayor’s crisis response team, responded to assist the boy’s family at the scene.
