2 People Dead in Patton Auto Accident on Highway 72
PATTON, MO (December 3, 2024) – Saturday afternoon, a tragic head-on crash on Highway 72 killed two people.
The incident happened at around 1:20 p.m. on Highway 72, three miles west of Patton.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound 2011 Kia Sorento veered across the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound 2002 Ford F150.
Moreover, Bollinger County Coroner Calvin Troxell pronounced the 76-year-old driver of the Ford, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics rushed a 75-year-old female passenger of the Ford to St. Francis Medical Center where Dr. Martin Blake pronounced her deceased at around 4:00 p.m.
Furthermore, responders transported the 48-year-old female driver of the Kia to St. Francis Medical Center with serious injuries.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Major Crash Investigation continued investigating the crash.
