Los Angeles, CA (February 24, 2025) – A woman lost her life after a tragic hit-and-run crash near 73rd Street and Main Street on Sunday evening.

Authorities say that the horrific incident happened around 6:15 p.m. near the intersection in South Los Angeles.

Reports say that a hit-and-run driver fatally struck a woman near 73rd Street and Main Street.

Officers arrived to find the victim, believed to be in her 50s, unconscious and unresponsive.

Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. The suspect had already fled, reportedly heading eastbound on Florence Avenue.

Authorities later found a possible suspect vehicle in a parking lot at Florence and Main.

Investigators continue searching for the driver and urge anyone with information to come forward.
