Mississippi County, MO (April 18, 2025) On Wednesday evening, a 46-year-old man from Oshkosh, WI was tragically killed in a hit-and-run on I-57.

According to authorities, the fatal incident happened just before 8 p.m. at the 2.2-mile marker between Sikeston and Bertrand.

Reports say that the hit-and-run crash on Interstate 57 claimed the life of the Oshkosh Man.

Authorities say a northbound vehicle struck the man while he was walking along the roadway and then fled the scene. The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed the victim died at the scene, and his family has been notified.
