Tragic Motorcycle Crash on South Madison Road Kills 1 [Spokane County, WA]

Spokane County, WA (June 09, 2025) – A deadly motorcycle crash on South Madison Road claimed the life of a motorcycle rider.

According to authorities, the frightening accident happened at the intersection of East Palouse Highway and South Madison Road at around 7:50 p.m.

Reports say that an SUV struck and killed a motorcyclist Saturday evening in Spokane County. Deputies arrived at the scene.

Spokane County Fire District 8 personnel attempted life-saving efforts.

Investigators determined that the SUV driver, who was heading south on Madison Road, slowed at the stop sign but proceeded into the intersection and collided with the motorcyclist traveling west on East Palouse Highway. The SUV driver and his passenger were uninjured and stated they did not see the motorcyclist.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that impairment was not a factor, and no arrests have been made. The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the motorcyclist’s identity and official cause of death.
