The incident happened at around 10:05 p.m. on 7500 Westover Street at Telephone Road.

According to reports, a southbound small white sedan struck a 71-year-old male pedestrian in a wheelchair who was crossing the roadway inside a marked crosswalk. Then, the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, responders rushed the victim to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
