Pedestrian Pushing Bicycle Killed in Long Beach Collision
Long Beach, CA (August 8, 2025) On Thursday evening, a man died after being struck by a car in a tragic pedestrian crash on Pacific Place.
According to authorities, the frightening incident happened around 6:05 p.m. at the intersection of Pacific Place and Wardlow Road.
Police said the man was walking a bicycle when a northbound 2012 Toyota Corolla hit him.
Long Beach Fire Department crews provided medical aid before transporting him to a hospital, where he later died. The driver remained at the scene, and investigators determined neither impairment nor excessive speed contributed to the crash.
