Fatal Yermo Auto Accident on Interstate 15 and Minneola Road

YERMO, CA (April 16, 2023) – Early Friday morning, 15 died in a tragic rollover crash on Interstate 15 and Minneola Road.

The incident occurred at around 1:13 a.m. on northbound Interstate 15, about a mile after Minneola Road.

California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department came to the incident involving two vehicles.

Reports said that a driver of a BMW x1 Sport Utility Vehicle lost control at an unknown speed. Then, the BMW veered onto the right shoulder. However, they overcorrected back to the left, striking a passing vehicle. Then, it rolled over multiple times, landing in the center divider.

Firefighters responded and helped two people inside the BMW.

Afterward, two helicopters transported one with serious injuries. However, that person succumbed to the injuries sustained in the collision.

Meanwhile, the other person was taken by Mercy Air #66 to Antelope Valley Medical Center with Moderate bodily injury. They reported a major laceration to their right hand and head injuries.

The authorities haven’t disclosed the person’s identity publicly at this time.
