1 Person Dead in Stoddard County Auto Accident on US Highway 60 near Morehouse

STODDARD COUNTY, MO (May 10, 2026) – Saturday morning, a tragic rollover crash on US Highway 60 near Morehouse killed one person.

The incident happened at around 5:00 a.m. on US Highway 60, 3 miles west of Morehouse.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an eastbound SUV struck a minivan for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash pushed the SUV off the roadway and rolled over, ejecting the driver and a passenger in the process.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 28-year-old male driver of the SUV dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the 26-year-old male passenger of the SUV to an out-of-state hospital with serious injuries.

Furthermore, a private vehicle transported the 50-year-old male driver of the minivan to a hospital with minor injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the MSHP continued investigating the crash.
