1 Person Dead in Barstow Auto Accident on Interstate 15 near Outlet Center Drive

BARSTOW, CA (August 3, 2025) – Friday morning, a tragic single-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 near Outlet Center Drive killed one person.

The incident happened at around 1:46 a.m. on Interstate 15 near Outlet Center Drive.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound 2016 Toyota Corolla veered across all lanes and onto the right shoulder for still unknown reasons. Then, the 20-year-old female driver of the vehicle attempted to correct the vehicle, lost control, and struck a metal guardrail.

Moreover, responders rushed the driver to Barstow Community Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Then, paramedics airlifted a passenger of the vehicle to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center while a second passenger sustained no injuries in the crash.

Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
