According to authorities, the deadly crash happened around 4:18 a.m. near NE 139th Street and NE 20th Avenue, where a sedan and a pickup truck collided. Investigators said the sedan appeared to be driving recklessly before the crash.

The driver of the sedan died at the scene, while a passenger was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The pickup truck driver was not hurt.
