LOS GATOS, CA (August 24, 2025) – Sunday morning, a tragic wrong-way crash on Highway 17 South near Santa Cruz Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened on Highway 17 South near Santa Cruz Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound Toyota Camry collided with a Honda Del Sol and a Honda Civic.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 43-year-old female passenger of the Camry, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the 44-year-old male driver of the Camry and the two drivers of the Hondas to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, officers believe that intoxicated driving played a role in the crash.
