Transit Passengers Injured in Canyon Road Collision [Puyallup, WA]

Puyallup, WA (August 9, 2025) – Two passengers were transported following a Canyon Road collision Tuesday evening.

It was around 5:30 p.m. when the collision between a car and a Pierce Transit shuttle bus at the intersection with 72nd Street.

According to the investigators, the car T-boned the shuttle, causing it to flip over onto its side. 

The man and a wheelchair-bound woman who were riding the bus sustained bruises and scrapes. They were both rushed area hospitals.

The bus driver was not injured in the collision.

Moreover, the driver at-fault driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Police stated that there were no signs of driving under the influence.
