18-Year-Old Tremel McAuliffe Arrested in Horrific Crash on First Avenue [Victorville, CA]

Victorville, CA (August 15, 2025) — Police arrested 18-year-old Tremel McAuliffe of Victorville after 2 17-year-old girls suffered serious injuries after being ejected from a vehicle during a suspected DUI crash in Victorville on Wednesday night.

According to authorities, the collision happened around 9:45 p.m. at 1st Avenue and Ottawa Street.

Responders from Victorville Police, Victorville Fire, and American Medical Response found the injured teens on the roadside.

One of the victims was airlifted to a trauma center due to the severity of her injuries.

Investigators said McAuliffe was driving a 2014 Buick Enclave southbound on 1st Avenue when he ran a stop sign and hit a Mazda sedan traveling eastbound on Ottawa Street.

Authorities reported that McAuliffe showed signs of alcohol and marijuana impairment.

Police arrested McAuliffe and booked him into the High Desert Detention Center on felony DUI charges for causing injury.
