Passenger Injured in Deadly Crash on South Freeway

Houston, TX (April 25, 2026) — A 19-year-old passenger was hurt, while Trevor Gregory, 20, lost his life following a crash on the South Freeway in Houston.

Gregory was driving a Cadillac CT4 southbound when he lost control of the vehicle during heavy rain. The car veered off the roadway, overturned onto its side, and landed in a ditch where it became submerged in water.

Emergency crews and nearby bystanders worked together to pull Gregory and his 19-year-old passenger from the vehicle. Both were rushed to a hospital, where doctors later pronounced Gregory dead. The young woman remains in critical condition.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
