Twentynine Palms Highway Tragic Crash Kills Twentynine Palms Man [Desert Hot Springs, CA]

Desert Hot Springs, CA (May 18, 2024) Early Thursday morning, a Twentynine Palms man died while a Yucca Valley man was injured in the Twentynine Palms Highway Tragic Crash.

According to CHP, the fatal collision happened at about 2:30 a.m. on Twentynine Palms Highway at North Indian Canyon Road.

Reports say that the collision involved a westbound Hyundai, driven by the Yucca Valley man, and an eastbound Dodge, driven by the Twentynine Palms man.

Officials say that the Hyundai was turning left from the westbound highway onto North Indian Canyon and crashed into the Dodge. After the collision, the Dodge crashed into a streetlight on the northeast corner of the intersection.

Officials pronounced the Dodge driver dead at the scene, while the Hyundai driver sustained minor injuries.

CHP is investigating the fatal collision and has not released additional information at this time.
