Police Investigate Three-Vehicle Crash on Highway 299 in Shasta County

SHASTA COUNTY, CA (June 18, 2026) — Two people were transported to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash on Highway 299 near Livona Lane Thursday afternoon in the Bella Vista area.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened shortly before 4 p.m. CHP Lt. Brandon Lale said six people were involved in the crash.

Officials reported that all three vehicles sustained major damage. A Mini Cooper rolled over during the collision, and its driver, described as a female occupant, was among those taken to the hospital.

The other vehicles involved were a Jeep Compass and a Toyota RAV4, according to CHP.

Authorities said two of the three vehicles were occupied only by their drivers. Officials have not released the extent of the victims’ injuries.

One lane of Highway 299 reopened by late Thursday afternoon as crews continued traffic control and worked to clear the scene.

CHP estimated that traffic impacts could continue for about 30 minutes while emergency personnel and tow crews remained in the area.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Helping Injured Victims After Serious Multi-Vehicle Crashes

A three-vehicle crash can leave victims and families facing immediate fear, confusion, and uncertainty.

When vehicles sustain major damage, and one vehicle rolls over, the people involved may suffer injuries that require emergency care, diagnostic testing, follow-up treatment, and ongoing recovery support.

Even when the full extent of injuries is not immediately released, victims should take the aftermath seriously and seek the guidance they need to protect their health and future.

At Sweet Lawyers, we understand how overwhelming a serious collision can be. Accident victims may suddenly face medical bills, vehicle damage, missed work, insurance calls, pain, and emotional distress.

Our personal injury team is committed to helping injured people and their families move forward with compassion, professionalism, and confidence.

Multi-vehicle crashes often require a careful investigation to determine what happened and who may be responsible.

Important evidence may include California Highway Patrol reports, witness statements, crash scene photographs, vehicle damage, roadway conditions, traffic patterns, speed, visibility, and any available surveillance or dashcam footage.

When a rollover occurs, additional questions may arise about impact direction, vehicle safety systems, and the force of the collision.

Insurance companies may begin contacting victims soon after a crash, but their priority may not always be the injured person’s full recovery.

Having experienced legal support can help victims understand their options, preserve important evidence, and pursue compensation that may be available for medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, rehabilitation, and other accident-related losses.

Sweet Lawyers proudly supports injured crash victims throughout California.

We listen carefully, explain the process clearly, and advocate for clients with care and determination.
