Police Investigate Crash on Highway 94 in Trinity County

TRINITY COUNTY, TX (July 30, 2026)— Two drivers were injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 94 near Groveton, according to the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene near the Glendale Water Supply Company at approximately 5:25 a.m.

Authorities said the collision involved a wrecker and a pickup truck. Both vehicles sustained significant damage in the crash.

The driver of the wrecker, a Houston resident, suffered serious injuries. Paramedics transported the individual by ambulance to a hospital for treatment.

The driver of the pickup truck, a Lufkin resident, sustained minor injuries and traveled to a hospital in a private vehicle for medical evaluation.

Officials confirmed that no passengers were involved in either vehicle.

The cause of the collision has not been released, and authorities have not disclosed the identities of the drivers. 

The crash remains under investigation by the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office.
