Two People Hospitalized After Crash on Bushland Boulevard in Amarillo
Amarillo, TX (November 12, 2025) — A crash on Bushland Boulevard involving an Amarillo Police Department patrol vehicle and a Subaru sedan resulted in two people being hospitalized Wednesday night, authorities confirmed.
The crash occurred at approximately 10:05 p.m. at the intersection of Bushland Boulevard and Western Street.
According to police, the officer was traveling eastbound on Bushland and attempting to turn north onto Western Street when a westbound Subaru sedan entered the intersection.
The two vehicles collided, causing significant damage to both.
Emergency responders from the Amarillo Fire Department had to extricate the driver of the Subaru from the wreckage.
That individual sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
The officer suffered minor injuries and was also taken to a local medical facility for evaluation and treatment.
A passenger in the Subaru sedan was not injured.
The Amarillo Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Squad is currently reviewing the circumstances of the crash.
