Police Investigate Fatal Rollover Crash on Highway 59 in Corrigan

Corrigan, TX (October 2, 2025) – A tragic rollover crash on Highway 59 claimed the lives of two people early Thursday morning.

The crash occurred in a construction zone along the southbound lanes of U.S. 59.

Authorities say the driver of a Jeep SUV was traveling south when the vehicle collided with a plastic buffer zone intended to guide traffic through the construction area.

The impact caused the Jeep to roll over and come to a stop in the southbound lanes. Two passengers were ejected from the vehicle during the rollover.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency responders used the Jaws-of-Life to extricate the driver, who was trapped inside the wreckage.

She was airlifted to an out-of-town hospital to receive treatment for her injuries. Her condition has not yet been disclosed.

The identities of the victims have not been officially released, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
