Crash on Camarillo Street Sends Two Officers to Hospital
Toluca Lake, CA (February 28, 2021) – On Saturday, two Los Angeles Police Department officers were injured in a crash on Camarillo Street.
The incident took place at around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Sancola Avenue.
Apparently, a Mini Cooper driver was traveling westbound but then swerved into oncoming traffic on the eastbound side of the road.
As a result, the vehicle crashed into a parked patrol vehicle.
Rescuers took the officer sitting on the passenger side of the vehicle to the hospital in good condition.
On the other hand, rescuers also took the sergeant standing outside the patrol car when it was hit. The officer was thrown by the impact of the accident.
He incurred a concussion, lacerations to his head, and a possible broken arm.
Meanwhile, the police did not arrest the driver. They said say appear to have fallen asleep at the wheel after a long shift at work.
