Deadly Two-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Highway 126 Near Fillmore During Heavy Rain

Fillmore, CA (February 18, 2026) — On Monday morning, a 61-year-old Modesto woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 126 .

It was past 9 a.m. when the deadly vehicle collision happened near Pyle Road, west of Fillmore.

Investigators determined that a Tesla traveling east veered into the westbound lanes and collided with a Ford work truck.

Troopers stated that a 61-year-old Modesto woman was killed in the crash.

Moreover, the 60-year-old Tesla driver sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Ventura County Medical Center.

The 38-year-old Simi Valley man who was driving the work truck sustained minor injuries. He was also taken to a hospital by ambulance.
