Jurupa Valley, CA (July 27, 2026) — A person lost their life early Sunday morning in a fiery two-vehicle collision on Highway 60 in Jurupa Valley, California.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5:10 a.m. on the westbound Pomona (60) Freeway just east of Pedley Road. Investigators said a blue Chevrolet Malibu and a white Nissan collided, causing the Nissan to catch fire.

Responders also found a dog inside the white Nissan, but authorities have not released information about the animal’s condition.

The Riverside County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene to assist with the investigation. Officials have not identified the victim or released additional details about what led to the crash. The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the fatal incident.
