Police Investigate Crash on the Hollywood 101 Freeway Near Vermont Avenue

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 19, 2026) — Two people were hospitalized, and six others were evaluated after a two-vehicle crash on the Hollywood 101 Freeway in East Hollywood early Friday morning.

The crash happened around 1:45 a.m. near Vermont Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The circumstances leading up to the collision remain unclear. Video from the scene showed one vehicle on its side in the bushes alongside the freeway.

Fire officials evaluated eight people at the scene, with some appearing to be minors. Paramedics transported two people to hospitals for further treatment. Officials did not immediately release their conditions.

The other six people declined hospital transport after being evaluated by emergency responders.
