Lewis County, WA (March 14, 2026) – A 66-year-old pedestrian was fatally injured following a US 12 hit-and-run crash Friday morning.

It was before 8 a.m. when the deadly crash happened in Packwood.

Troopers said a westbound vehicle on the freeway struck the pedestrian and fled the scene.

Immediately, the rescuers responded and found victim deceased on the westbound shoulder.
