59-Year-Old Woman Dies After Vehicle Crashes Into South Side Property

San Antonio, TX (August 20, 2026) — A 59-year-old woman died Tuesday after a horrific accident on Dorsey Drive when a man accidentally drove a vehicle into a fence on San Antonio’s South Side, trapping her underneath.

The crash happened around 11:45 a.m. in the 100 block of Dorsey Drive near East Ashley Road. According to preliminary findings, the 58-year-old driver became distracted and shifted the vehicle into drive instead of reversing.

The vehicle struck a fence and pinned the woman underneath. Emergency crews freed her and attempted lifesaving measures, but she died at the scene.
