Four Critically Injured After Vehicle Crashes Into Building in Palm Desert

Palm Desert, CA (April 5, 2026) — On Friday morning, four individuals were left in critical condition after a vehicle collision on Highway 111 in Palm Desert.

The crash happened around 1:48 a.m. in the 73000 block of Highway 111. Authorities determined that a single vehicle veered off the roadway and crashed into an unoccupied structure. All four occupants inside the vehicle suffered severe injuries, and emergency crews rushed them to a nearby hospital for urgent care.

Road closures affected the surrounding area, including Highway 74 and El Paseo Drive, as crews responded to the scene. Officials have since reopened the roads.

Investigators continue to examine what caused the vehicle to crash, and no arrests have been made.
