COMMERCE CITY, CO (January 20, 2026) – Friday night, a fatal vehicle crash on 7200 Interstate 270 killed one person.

The incident happened in the 7200 block of Interstate 270.

According to reports, a car crashed into a parked RV for still unknown reasons. Then, the suspect fled the scene, switched vehicles, and attempted to bring an injured female occupant of the RV to a hospital.

Moreover, officers pulled over the male suspect for speeding while driving the victim to a hospital.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that the female victim died en route.

Also, authorities arrested the suspect for vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death.
