Bell, CA (December 8, 2024) On Saturday morning, a vehicle crash on Gage Avenue caused the death of a construction worker.

According to Bell Police, the fatal incident happened at about 3 a.m. near the intersection with Heliotrope Avenues

Reports say that a construction worker died after being struck by a truck operated by a coworker.

Authorities say that the incident occurred around 3 a.m. near the intersection of Gage and Heliotrope Avenues. The victim was welding metal in the street when the construction truck hit him.

Emergency responders pronounced the worker dead at the scene. Authorities have not released his identity, pending notification of his family.

Officials say that the coworker driving the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police stated that the incident appears to have been an accident.

The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) also conducted an investigation at the site.
