Multi-Vehicle Crash on Loop 1604 Under Investigation [San Antonio, TX]

San Antonio, TX (September 13, 2026) — On Thursday night, a three-vehicle crash on Loop 1604 near Culebra Road in northwest San Antonio left one driver hospitalized.

The San Antonio Fire Department responded to the 7401-7899 block of West Loop 1604 around 9 p.m. Investigators said the first driver looked down at a cellphone while following another vehicle and then rear-ended it. The impact pushed the vehicle into a third car.

Firefighters had to extricate the first driver from the vehicle. San Antonio police said the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and went to a hospital for treatment.
