Ventura Man Transported in Telephone Road DUI Crash [Ventura, CA]

Ventura, CA (February 26, 2026) – A 27-year-old Ventura man was injured in a Telephone Road DUI crash Friday night.

It was before 11 p.m. when the pedestrian crash happened on the southbound 101 Freeway.

CHP said a Honda SUV drove through the intersection of Telephone Road and Main Street and struck the 27-year-old man walking across the crosswalk.

Immediately, the man was transported to a hospital with major injuries.

The SUV driver and his passenger, a 29-year-old Port Hueneme man, were not hurt in the accident.

Troopers later arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence. 

Police asked anyone who may have witnessed this incident to call the CHP Ventura Area office at 805-662-2640.
