Police Investigate Fatal Solo Vehicle Crash on 7th Street and Bethany Home Road in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (May 19, 2022) – Thursday morning, 16-year-old Victoria Cruz and 36-year-old Reyna Martinez died in a solo vehicle crash on 7th Street and Bethany Home Road.

The fatal crash in Phoenix happened at around 10:30 a.m. on May 19.

Police said Cruz was driving a white Mustang and left the roadway for unknown reasons and then crashed into a brick wall.

Martinez died at the crash scene and Cruz died at the hospital.

Police believe speed was a factor in the crash.

No other vehicle was believed to be involved in the incident.
