Violent Crash on Highway 41 Led to Injury [Fresno, CA]

Fresno, CA (December 18, 2025) — On Sunday afternoon, a driver was hurt after a frightening traffic crash on Highway 41.

According to authorities, the incident began Sunday around 3:45 p.m. when an officer initiated a traffic stop near Ingram and Herndon avenues.

The vehicle contained a woman driver and a male passenger. During the stop, the man provided false identification and resisted when officers attempted to remove him from the car. He then pushed the woman out of the driver’s seat, took control of the vehicle, reversed into a patrol car, knocked officers to the ground, and fled at high speed.

A second officer later spotted the vehicle south of Highway 41 near Ashlan Avenue but was unable to stop it. Investigators say the suspect attempted to exit Highway 41 at Jensen Avenue, lost control, and crashed into another vehicle. He then ran from the scene and remains at large.

Officers recovered a loaded firearm from the suspect’s vehicle. The driver involved in the crash sustained minor injuries. Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to contact Fresno police.
